The observatory said in a statement yesterday that it expects Macau’s temperature to drop to 20 degrees Celsius, or even lower, on Thursday and Friday.
The statement said that due to the combined influence of a northeastern monsoon and a super typhoon that is expected to move towards China’s Taiwan region, the coast of Guangdong is likely to be affected by a stronger level of northern wind from today. Consequently, the statement said, Macau’s temperatures are expected to drop over the next few days.
The statement also said that the temperature in northern Guangdong is forecast to drop to 16 degrees or even below over the next few days.
