Crowds of people queued outside Ocean Mall* yesterday for a promotional pop-up event held by US regional chain of fast-food restaurants In-N-Out Burger.
In-N-Out Burger, which is headquartered in Irvine, was founded in 1948 and has outlets primarily in California, according to Wikipedia. They currently have over 400 outlets throughout California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Colorado and Idaho, the In-N-Out website notes.
The one-day pop-up was set up at the mall’s M2 Kitchen on the third floor and was open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., during which diners were able to order the fast-food restaurant’s famous “Double-Double burgers”, “Animal Style burgers” and “Protein Style burgers”. It marked the US fast-food restaurant’s first pop-up event in Macau, In-N-Out Burger’s Manager of Special Foreign Events Luis Hernandez told the Post yesterday, noting that they were excited to be here and were grateful to see so many people queuing for the event.
There is no immediate timeframe to open up an In-N-Out Burger in Macau, Hernandez said, adding that the pop-up was part of the fast-food restaurant’s global marketing tours. “We just go to different countries, promote our burger and put some smiles on everybody’s faces. And everybody seems to love it”.
