The Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) has announced that it will start a project next Monday to upgrade the children’s playground in Flower City Park, with the aim of creating a more comfortable area for its users.

According to an IAM statement yesterday, the playground facilities at Flower City Park have aged and both the equipment and mats require replacing. The project will start on February 10, and the playground will be temporarily closed during the construction.

This project will include installing climbing and balancing equipment suitable for children aged between 2 and 12 years, providing a diverse range of fun facilities. The upgrade will also include seamless safety mats, while an accessible path will be added to connect the playground with an activity room, and new children‘s sinks will also be installed.

According to the IAM statement, the project is expected to take 150 days, but the actual duration may be extended due to weather or other factors. The area will be cordoned off during the construction process, and the public are advised to avoid entering the project area.
