Melco Resorts and Entertainment said in a Monday statement that it recently hosted an exclusive screening of the Chinese animation blockbuster “Ne Zha 2” at Studio City Cinema.
Aligning with the company’s signature activity “Splendours of China”, the initiative aimed to instil national pride among colleagues and the local community, according to the statement.
The statement noted that local children, youths and families were invited to the movie day through the integrated resort’s community partners, including: Sheng Kung Hui Macau Social Services Coordination Office - Astor Shore (Star of Hope); Tamagnini Barbosa Community Centre of the Macau Federation of Trade Unions; YMCA (Young Men’s Christian Association of Macau); Caritas Macau (Residential Centre Arco-Iris); “Mong-Ha” Children and Youth Home; DSEDJ Parenting Education Centre; Macau Deaf Association (MDA); Against Child Abuse (Macau) Association (ACAM); and Lok Chon Centre of the Macau General Union of Neighbourhood Associations (UGAMM; Kai Fong).
The statement added that Melco, in conjunction with the Women’s General Association of Macau (commonly known as Fu Luen in Cantonese), will host a second screening of the movie for more members of the community, namely young children, women, expectant mothers and families, tomorrow.
To help attendees better understand the movie, the statement said, that a briefing will be held before the screening.
