The Portuguese School will get a new wing and a sports pavilion, Maria Edith da Silva, the new president of the Council of Curators of the Macau Portuguese School Foundation, told the Portuguese-language radio channel of government-owned broadcaster TDM yesterday.
Edith da Silva was elected during yesterday’s regular meeting of the Council of Curators which also includes Macau’s last Portuguese governor, General Vasco Rocha Vieira.
According to Edith da Silva, a former director of the Education and Youth Affairs Bureau (DSEJ) and ex-director of the Portuguese School, the new wing and sports pavilion, designed by local architect Carlos Marreiros, could be to ready in three years.
