The Macau Radio Taxi Corporation will put the phone numbers of those who frequently verbally abuse staff members at its call centre, book a taxi but do not show up or cancel their bookings on a blacklist, Kevin U Kin Lung, the company’s general manager, said yesterday.
U said his company was looking forward to serving “quality customers”, insinuating that those showing uncivil behaviour would be blacklisted permanently or temporarily. The government signed an eight-year contract with the company last year for it to start operating 50 special radio taxis tomorrow, after officials announced in early September that the company won the bid for a licence to operate up to 100 special radio taxis.
