People with an interest in cinema can gain an insight into its history and its beginnings at a dedicated exhibition held at the Cinematheque•Passion on Travessa da Paixão (戀愛巷).
The exhibition, titled “Frames of History: The Birth of Cinema”, is on until September 27 and can be found in the cinematheque’s free admission Exhibition Space.

The exhibition offers “insights into the beginnings of cinematography, the principles behind film projection, and cinema-going culture”, according to a recent statement provided by the cinematheque, and provides a way for a younger generation to learn more about the dawn of cinema.
The Exhibition Space is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. during the period, being closed on Mondays and public holidays.
