The Roadhouse Macau auctioned off a Bruce Lee portrait created by Irish artist Barry Jazz Finnegan, with the proceeds of 51,000 patacas going to the Association of Rehabilitation of Drug Abusers of Macau (ARTM) to help support their effort in the fight against substance abuse, a statement from the bar-and-restaurant located in Broadway at Galaxy Macau said yesterday.

“We were really happy to be able to auction such an amazing portrait with Barry’s help and give the proceeds to ARTM, an association we’ve been supporting since 2010”, the owner and managing director of The Roadhouse Macau, Tess Carruthers, was quoted by the statement as saying. “It’s something we always try to do, give back to this community. We know how important their work is and it’s our pleasure and mission to support them in all ways we can.”
According to the statement, Finnegan, who shared his work at The Roadhouse during the St Patrick’s Day celebrations last month, said that he was honoured to give away one of his favourite portraits.

Finnegan is a self-taught artist specialising in photorealism with charcoal on a large scale, and an award-winning artist whose artwork has been bought by the De Niro family (Raging Bull portrait as a gift for Robert), Conor McGregor and the family of Heath Ledger (Joker portraits), to name a few.
