The final day of the FIBA 3x3 World Tour Macau 2025 took place yesterday on the Wynn Palace South Lawn in Cotai, with Team Lugano from Switzerland emerging as champions.
FIBA 3x3 World Tour Macau 2025 gathered 16 top 3x3 basketball teams from around the world and had a total prize pool of up to US$185,000, according to a statement from the Sports Bureau (ID) yesterday, adding that the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) sanctioned event’s qualification and group stage matches were held on Saturday.
Yesterday’s games kicked off with Ub (Serbia), Miami (USA), Lugano (Switzerland) and Ulaanbaatar MMC Energy (Mongolia) respectively winning their quarter-final matches against Riffa (Bahrain), Chongming (China), Bordeaux (France), and Kandava Turība (Latvia).
During the semi-finals, Miami beat Ub 22-16, while Lugano defeated Ulaanbaatar 21-18. The final fast-paced match between Lugano and Miami then saw the former winning 21-20, with Lugano’s player Adris De León chosen as Most Valuable Player, according to the statement.
Meanwhile, the statement said that the Shoot-Out Contest and a Dunk Contest were held at the event, which were won by Team Miami’s Mitch Hahn and Poland’s Piotr Grabowski respectively.
