Macau Vietnam Communal Society Chairwoman Meng Ping said yesterday that fewer compatriots have become addicted to gambling since the group started providing healthy recreation alternatives four years ago.

Meng made the remarks on the sidelines of the group’s Labour Day party which was held on the premises of the Macau Jiangmen Communal Society in Patane district.

Meng said all members of her group are Vietnamese women who work as domestic helpers or are engaged in other occupations in Macau.
