Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture Alexis Tam Chon Weng is saddened by the suicide of a female pupil, the Education and Youth Affairs Bureau (DSEJ) said in a statement yesterday.
The statement urged young people to cherish their lives and to seek assistance from their family members, teachers, counsellors or others who they trust if they feel they are going through a difficult time or are feeling emotional.The Judiciary Police (PJ) said in a statement yesterday that when getting home at 11:30 p.m. on Monday the parents of the 16-year-old found that their daughter had hanged herself.
