For Lush fans living on the peninsula, here’s some good news. The British cosmetics retailer has recently opened a shop in the city centre so you don’t have to cross the bridge en route to the Venetian to restock your bathroom favourites.

Conveniently located along the pedestrian precinct between Largo do Senado and St. Paul’s Ruins, the shop in Rua da Palha is making the air in the area smell “lush” – quite a distinctive fragrance from the use of natural oils in its products that can be smelt metres away, superseding the usual smell of beef jerky and almond cakes in that area.

The new store offers head-to-toe products, including bath bombs, bath bars, massage bars, shower gels, fresh face masks, hand masks, dry shampoo, henna hair dye, make-up, perfume and more. There are also some “flavours” that are exclusive to the new store such as the Prince of Darkness fresh face mask, Plum Rain shower gel, and Guardian of the Forest bath bomb.
