Pearl Horizon Condominium Owners United Association President Kou Meng Pok submitted several hundred registered voters’ signatures to the Legislative Assembly Electoral Affairs Committee (CAEAL) yesterday as the group’s first step to being legally recognised as a candidature list in the upcoming legislative elections.

Kou said that he would head the list.

The Pearl Horizon residential project has been mothballed since the government decided in late 2015 to axe the ill-fated project’s temporary land concession that had expired. The government has repeatedly said that the issue must be solved in strict adherence with the Land Law. The developer, Hong Kong-based Polytec, is suing the government over the matter.
