The ongoing exhibition at MGM MACAU featuring the Eastern trendy art IP “HAHALULU” has been expanded to One Central Macau.
On until August 31, the integrated resort operator said in a recent statement that MGM, One Central Macau, and the Macao International Brand Enterprise Commercial Association have jointly extended the exhibition to the shopping mall, being titled “MGM × HAHALULU × One Central Macau Trend Art Exhibition”.
The featured IP was created by high-end jewellery brand Qeelin’s founder Dennis Chan (陳瑞麟), who the statement said has “decades of deep engagement with traditional Eastern culture”, while his IP draws inspiration from the gourd, a symbol of good fortune in Chinese tradition.
The main exhibition, which kicked off in April, is taking place at MGM MACAU’s Grande Praça, this time featuring new exhibits comprising four “Crystal LULU figures”, according to the statement. These are namely: “Golden Blessing Light”, “Radiant Light”, “Sculpted Shadow Light”, and “Aegean Light”, the statement said, adding that the series was created using the snow-setting technique to assemble thousands of crystals one-by-one.
Other additions at the MGM exhibition are new sculptures and paintings, as well as original oil on canvas works.
Meanwhile, among the exhibits being showcased at the atrium of One Central Macau are the “HAHALULU Wishing Gourd Tree” that features four-coloured gourds symbolising health, wealth, love and career, and the translucent gourd-shaped mirror installation titled “HAHALULU Mirror”.
Themed products, desserts and beverages are also presented.
