Mok Iun Lei, the newly-appointed coordinator of the Support Office of the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (PSCs), said yesterday she would strive to assist the forum’s secretariat to develop the city into a business-service platform between China and PSCs, by making use of her extensive experience working in the government.

Mok made the remarks in a speech after her swearing-in ceremony, on the premises of the secretariat at the Finance and IT Centre in Nam Van.

The government appointed Mok last week as the coordinator of the secretariat, which is headed by a secretary-general appointed by the central government. It has three deputy secretary-generals, one appointed by the central government, one appointed by PSCs and the other by the local government.
