Macau martial artists clinch another silver at Taolu World Cup (TWC) in Hainan

The Wushu General Association of Macau announced in a statement on Wednesday that local martial artists clinched another silver at the Taolu World Cup (TWC).

The event was hosted by the International Wushu Federation at Haikou city in Hainan province, which concluded yesterday, while the competition was completed on Wednesday.

The Macau team won a total 5 of medals one gold, three silver and one bronze at the competition. 

Taolu (套路) is a pre-arranged sequence of offensive and defensive techniques linked together in a continuous flow. It simulates a fight against multiple imaginary opponents.

According to the statement, Wong Sam In won the silver medal in the women’s Nandao (南刀) event with a score of 9.446.

According to DeepSeek, Nandao (“Southern Sabre”) is a short-handled, single-edged sabre and features a prominent handguard (often bell-shaped or cup-shaped) and a long red tassel (or ribbon) attached to the pommel. The blade is usually slightly curved.
