According to a statement by the Sports Bureau (ID) yesterday, the organisers of the “Women’s Volleyball Nations League (VNL) – Finals Macao 2026 presented by Galaxy Entertainment Group” have unveiled the quarterfinal schedule, with eight of the world’s top women’s teams set to compete for the championship later this month at the Macao East Asian Games Dome in Cotai.
Organised by the bureau, Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG), and the Volleyball Association of Macao, the tournament will run from next Wednesday through next Sunday in a single-elimination format, the statement said, adding that the finalists comprise the seven highest-ranked teams from the preliminary phase – Brazil, Canada, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Turkey, and the US, along with host nation China.
The statement highlighted that the quarterfinals will begin next Wednesday, with Italy taking on the Netherlands at 4:00 p.m., followed by Brazil vs Japan at 7:30 p.m. Next Thursday, Turkey will face Canada at 4:00 p.m., while China will meet the US at 7:30 p.m.
The semifinals are scheduled for next Saturday, with the bronze medal match and championship final to be played next Sunday, the statement noted.
Tickets are now on sale through Galaxy Ticketing, Macau Ticketing, the Damai platform, Mpay’s mPass and other designated ticketing channels, the statement said, highlighting that prices range from 280 to 1,380 patacas depending on the match and seating category.
According to the statement, ticket discounts are available for full-time Macau students, residents aged 65 or above, holders of Disability Assessment Registration Cards, as well as purchasers of four-day passes and selected multi-ticket packages.
The bureau encouraged volleyball fans to secure their tickets early to watch the world’s leading women’s teams compete for this year’s VNL title, the statement said, adding that more information is available on the tournament’s official website and the Sports Bureau’s online platforms.
