Lou Lim Ioc Garden will begin renovations on Monday, with parts of the park temporarily closing as the Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) upgrades its irrigation and water filtration systems, according to an IAM statement yesterday.
According to the statement, the park’s irrigation and filtration systems have shown signs of ageing after years of use. The upgrade project aims to enhance the park’s facilities and environment to provide a more comfortable leisure space for the public.
The works, slated to commence on Monday, will involve replacing the systems in stages. Consequently, certain areas of the park will be cordoned off during different phases of the project.
The bureau noted that the project is expected to take around 100 working days, though the actual completion date may be extended due to inclement weather or other unforeseen factors.
Visitors are urged to follow on-site instructions and avoid entering cordoned-off areas during the construction period to ensure safety.
