Local think tank Choi In Tong Sam yesterday suggested the government should build schools and sport facilities on the plot of land in Fai Chi Kei leased by Macau Yat Yuen Canidrome Co. Ltd. which is slated to be vacated next year.

The think tank’s members elaborated on their suggestions for the possible uses of the plot during a special press conference at the group’s office in Rua das Lorchas.

The company has been operating greyhound races on the plot for over half a century, but has been told by the government to move out by July 21 next year.
