The University of Macau (UM) recently held its 2026/2027 Autumn Career and Internship Fair for Technology and Engineering at the first phase of the Macao-Hengqin International Education (University) Town, bringing together 30 companies that provided close to 230 internship and employment opportunities across related fields, according to a statement by the university yesterday.
The statement did not reveal the exact date of the fair.
The event, jointly organised by the university’s Faculty of Information Science and Computing and the Faculty of Engineering, was focused on technological R&D and engineering applications, with AI, integrated circuits, software development, and network engineering among the variety of areas available to applicants, the statement pointed out.
The statement added that applicants got to explore opportunities in the job-matching area, while services including how to enhance one’s résumé, among others, were provided with the aim of increasing students’ job market competitiveness.
The statement pointed out that both of UM’s faculties that organised the event will “continue to collaborate with leading enterprises in the GBA, providing students with expanded career development opportunities, promoting talent mobility between Macau and Hengqin, and facilitating collaborative innovation of technology and engineering industries in the region, thereby injecting new momentum into the country’s high-quality development”.
