A total of 976 cases of passenger transport services provided by unlicensed taxis were recorded during the first six months of the year, a 236.6 percent year-on-year, the Public Security Police (PSP) has announced.
During the same period of last year, 290 such cases were reported, according to a PSP statement on Friday.
The statement said that 850 out of the 976 cases involved mobile apps, a fivefold increase over the 170 cases reported during the first six months of last year.
