Power utility CEM said yesterday that about 2,900 customers in Fai Chi Kei and Toi San districts were affected by a power outage that lasted for 21 minutes in yesterday evening.
The company apologised to the affected households and shops, saying that it was carrying out an investigation into the cause of the power cut.
In a written statement replying to media enquiries yesterday, CEM said that the power cut occurred at 5:45 p.m., when a power cable near the Fai Chi Kei Health Centre was damaged. The power supply to the affected area was resumed at 6:06 p.m., CEM said.
