A senior official from the Social Security Fund (FSS) attending yesterday’s Macau Forum as a guest speaker said that the government has received over 1,000 applications from residents “eager” to join the city’s non-mandatory central provident fund system.
The weekly open-air debate is hosted by government-owned broadcaster TDM in Areia Preta Park every Sunday.
The city’s non-mandatory central provident fund was implemented on January 1. The legislature passed the government-initiated bill on the non-mandatory central provident fund in May last year.
