The Judiciary Police (PJ) arrested a man from the mainland on Monday for helping another mainlander illegally enter Macau, PJ spokesman Ho Chan Nam said during a special press conference yesterday.

Ho identified the suspect as a 46-year-old surnamed Wang.

According to Ho, the Judiciary Police was recently tipped off that a gang was aiding mainlanders to illegally enter Macau. PJ officers identified Wang as one of the members of the gang.

The police are still looking for the kingpin and the other members of the gang, Ho said.
