The police are investigating the death of a 14-month-old boy after he suffered a fever on Tuesday, the Judiciary Police (PJ) said in a statement yesterday.

According to the statement, the boy’s parents noticed that their son had a fever on Tuesday morning and took him to a clinic near their home for treatment. The boy’s condition improved after taking some medicine.

However, the mother discovered her son unresponsive when she went to check on him while he was sleeping on Tuesday night. The mother called for an ambulance, the statement said, adding that the boy was rushed to the private Kiang Wu Hospital where he was pronounced dead after emergency treatment.
