has filed a criminal complaint against Macau’s ex-weather chief Fong Soi Kun, accusing him of homicide by negligence for his controversial handling of warning signals when Typhoon Hato hit Macau.
The typhoon killed 10 people, injured 244, cut water and power supplies and caused severe flooding and immense damage. The disaster has left local residents in a shock.
Hong, a lawyer by profession, is the first-ranked direct legislative election candidate of the United Citizens for Building Macau Association, the No. 19 on the ballot paper.
