MGM Macau said in a statement yesterday that it pays careful attention to food safety after the government revealed that 45 people fell ill from eating oysters in the hotel’s Rossio restaurant.
It was the second incident of its kind at the restaurant. In February, six people fell ill with suspected gastroenteritis after having buffet there.
The Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau (IACM) said in a statement on Monday that 45 people suffered from stomach pain, diarrhoea, fever and vomiting after eating oysters at Rossio between Thursday and Saturday last week.
