Executive Council spokesman Leong Heng Teng said yesterday that the government has drafted a bill amending the Macau Public Administration Staff Statute.

Addressing a press conference at Government Headquarters, Leong said that the council, the government’s top advisory body, had completed its discussion of the bill, which proposes a number of amendments to the statute, such as rules on annual leave, absence and on-shift arrangements.

The Macau Public Administration Staff Statute was promulgated in the late 1980s.
