Among the 37 local members of the upcoming 13th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), 17 are newcomers, or 46 percent of the total, while the remainder have been reappointed.
Consisting of 2,158 names, the full list of members of the 13th CPPCC National Committee was approved at the 24th session of the Standing Committee of the 12th CPPCC National Committee, which concluded on Wednesday night.
The new term of the CPPCC National Committee will start in March.
