The Judiciary Police (PJ) received a report of suspected arson yesterday afternoon outside the Old Courthouse in Nam Van, according to a PJ statement.

The statement said that at around 4 p.m. yesterday, a passer-by saw a woman pouring paraffin on the steps of the Old Courthouse and called the police. The woman had already gone when police officers arrived. Apart from the policemen, firefighters also rushed to the scene. The police and firemen found that there was also paraffin on the pavement at the base of the building in Avenida da Praia Grande, and a sheet of A4 paper soaked in the inflammable liquid partly burnt.
