The Macau Customs Service said in a statement yesterday that its officers recently busted two illegal immigration cases.
On Saturday night, officers of the Customs Service on patrol along the coast saw a suspicious boat moving towards the oil depot at Ka Ho on the north-eastern shore of Coloane. The officers informed their superiors of the situation and a Customs Service speedboat was deployed to intercept the vessel, according to the statement.
The statement said that customs officers caught a male illegal immigrant on the shore at the oil depot. The Customs Service speedboat later stopped the vessel in nearby waters.
