2 vessels crash in fog

Two vessels collided with each other at the Inner Harbour entrance yesterday morning due to foggy conditions, according to a statement by the Marine and Water Bureau (DSAMA) yesterday.

According to the statement, the bureau received a report at 9 a.m. yesterday that a cargo ship and a sand barge crashed into each other, causing two containers on the cargo vessel to fall into the sea.

The statement said that the bureau deployed a boat to the scene to investigate, adding that its officials confirmed that no one was injured and that both vessels were in no danger of sinking.
