Company head stages ‘non-payment’ drama: police

The Judiciary Police (PJ) have arrested a mainlander for allegedly trying to extort a subcontracting company out of 30 million patacas and allegedly cheating 21 of his workers out of their salaries totalling 9 million patacas.

The announcement was made during a special press conference yesterday at the PJ headquarters in Zape.

PJ spokesman Ho Chan Nam identified the suspect as a 38-year-old surnamed Wan in charge of a business which subcontracts for other companies.
