Local films to get silver-screen moment at Cinematheque•Passion

Locally shot and produced feature and short films will get their silver screen moment this month as part of a festival at Cinematheque•Passion which is providing a platform for the showing of local films and promoting exchanges of ideas.

The “Macau Films Panorama 2018”, taking place from May 18 to 31, will screen a total of 28 films at the Cultural Affairs Bureau-owned cinema, located near the St Paul’s Ruins.

In addition to featuring local films, the festival will also see collaborations with curators from the mainland, Hong Kong and Taiwan who will be introducing 10 films from their regions.

The 12-day festival will have four opening films screening on May 18 from 8 p.m., which are “Bringing in the Wine” from the mainland, “Illegalist” from Macau, “Losing Sight of a Longed Place” from Hong Kong, and “Tea Land” from Taiwan.
