Guest speakers and members of the audience at yesterday’s Macau Forum urged the government to provide stronger technical support to the city’s medical practitioners who are less familiar with computers or other IT devices, concerning the operation of digital health voucher devices, so that more of them will choose to join the recently-launched digitalised scheme.
The weekly open-air debate is hosted by government-owned broadcaster TDM in Areia Preta Park every Sunday.
For the government’s annual medical subsidy programme, informally known as health vouchers, this year eligible residents will receive digital health vouchers instead of conventional coupons. Thanks for the digital upgrade, residents now can simply claim the medical subsidy with their ID card (BIR) when receiving medical services provided by medical practitioners in the private sector.
