The greyhounds that have been adopted from the Macau (Yat Yuen) Canidrome Co. Ltd. are slowly coming to terms with a life of freedom but there are still hurdles to overcome, one of which includes a trip to the vet for a check-up.
Yesterday MPD Weekender spoke to Green Cross Vet Hospital vet Henrique Galvao at his practice in Taipa about the greyhounds that he has seen in his clinic since the racktrack operator put them up for adoption on three occasions at the end of last month and the beginning of this month.
“We have treated 10 greyhounds here over the last month or so,” said Galvao, adding that most of the animals they have treated have been adopted by locals and Hong Kong residents.
