Orbis Macau yesterday kicked off its annual “Action for Sight” campaign this year at a local school, hoping to spread the message of protecting pupil’s eyes and safeguarding the younger generation’s sight.
Orbis is an international non-governmental organisation (NGO) with the mission to save sight amongst people living in middle- and low-income countries and regions.
The launch of its “Action for Sight” campaign yesterday also marked World Sight Day, which takes place on the second Thursday of October every year. The theme of this year’s campaign is “Some blindness can be cut”.
