Over 40 parents of pupils of St Joseph Diocesan College of Macau 5 (CDSJ5) met the school’s management including its principal Kuok Wa Pong at the school in Toi San yesterday for a meeting about the school’s recently announced rise in tuition fees.

The parents urged the school to give them more information about the planned fee hike, consider each family’s financial situation and let them know how the school plans to spend the extra income.

According to government broadcaster TDM last week, the plans to increase its tuition fees by 3,000 patacas annually for the next three school years. The fees will be increased to a maximum of 33,000 patacas for the next school year, according to TDM.
