Gaming revenue growth slows in October

Macau’s gaming revenue in October slowed to single-digit growth for a second straight month, providing further evidence that mainland China’s economic slowdown is taking a toll on the enclave’s casino operators.

However, October’s revenue was the highest of any month so far this year.

Gross gaming revenue rose 2.6 percent year on year in October to 27.3 billion patacas from a year earlier, according to data yesterday from the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ). That missed the median analyst estimate for growth of 3.5 percent.
