The Judiciary Police (PJ) arrested a local man last week for attacking his wife during an argument over money in their flat in Zape, PJ spokesman Leng Kam Lon said during a regular press conference yesterday.
Leng identified the suspect as a 40-year-old junket operator surnamed Tou. His wife is 30-year-old mainlander.
In the early hours of last Wednesday, the couple had a row over money in their home in Avenida da Amizade, during which Tou allegedly grabbed his wife around the neck, punched and kicked her in the belly, and hit her head against the wall several times, according to Leng.
