Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture Alexis Tam Chon Weng said yesterday that the Education and Youth Affairs Bureau (DSEJ) has the responsibility to ensure that the annual rainstorm drill runs smoothly.
Tam made the remarks on the sidelines of a public event in Hac Sa Village.
On Monday morning, government-broadcaster TDM mistakenly announced on its Chinese language TV channel a rainstorm warning meant as part of an annual drill, which misled many parents into believing that school had been cancelled for that day.
