Two local male drug users claimed to be Judiciary Police (PJ) officers and intercepted a male drug dealer from Hong Kong outside a hotel in the city centre early this month searched the dealer and took 23,000 patacas in cash and 10 packets of cocaine from him and his guestroom, PJ spokeswoman Lei Hon Nei said during a special conference yesterday.
Lei identified the two suspects as a 23-year-old surnamed Kam and a 36-year-old surnamed Ng. Both told the police that they are unemployed. Lei identified the HK drug dealer as a 24-year-old construction worker surnamed Lo.
The two suspects got wind of the HK drug trafficker and where he was staying in Macau through other drug dealers, according to Lei.

In the early hours of February 1, Kam and Ng waited for Lo outside the hotel in the city centre, and when Lo returned to the hotel, the duo pretended to be PJ officers – by showing him their fake police ID cards – and took him to a nearby alley where they searched him, Lei said.
