Electronic vote counting is to be used in the election of the 400 Chief Executive Election Committee members, the Electoral Affairs Commission for the Chief Executive Election has announced.
Song Man Lei, president of the commission, told the media after a regular meeting of the commission on Friday the decision was made after reviewing the experience gained from the chief executive election in 2014.
Song, Macau’s most senior female judge, said the committee also decided that the polling on June 16 to elect the 400 electors would use the same ballot boxes that were used in the chief executive election in 2014.
