Illegal casino money changer scams peer out of HK$200,000: police

The Judiciary Police (PJ) arrested an illegal money changer from the mainland at the Barrier Gate checkpoint on Tuesday for cheating a peer out of HK$200,000, Judiciary Police (PJ) spokesman Leng Kam Lon said in a regular press conference yesterday.

Leng identified the suspect as a 30-year-old surnamed Sun who told the police that he is unemployed.

The victim is a female mainlander who also works as an illegal money changer in Macau.
