A trainee lawyer has allegedly beaten his wife during heated arguments over their relationship on several occasions, Judiciary Police (PJ) spokesman Leng Kam Lon said during a regular press conference yesterday.
According to Leng, the victim previously reported to the police several times that her husband had attacked her but each time she decided to withdraw the criminal complaints against her husband.
According to Leng, as the police suspect the trainee lawyer of having committed a number of domestic violence offences, they ordered him to present himself to the Public Prosecution Office (MP) for further questioning yesterday morning, which he failed to do. At the time of the press conference yesterday afternoon, the police were still looking for him.
