The Marine and Water Bureau (DSAMA) has collected 800 kilogrammes of dead fish in the Patane North Bay since Sunday, according to a joint statement by the bureau and the Environmental Protection Bureau (DSPA) yesterday.

Patane North Bay – a bay off Fai Chi Kei and Ilha Verde – is known as Fai Chi Kei North Bay in Chinese.

The statement said that the Marine and Water Bureau had recently found scores of dead fish floating in the bay, after which it dispatched vessels and workers to the scene to gather the dead fish, in order to keep the area clean.
