Two medical interns from Kiang Wu Hospital and a staff member of the Venetian are the three latest patients infected with measles, with the total number of measles cases so far this year reaching 19, a statement from the Health Bureau (SSM) said yesterday.
According to the statement, the three new patients, all male Macau residents, are currently in quarantine at the bureau’s clinical health centre.
SSM Director Lei Chin Ion told reporters yesterday that although there is a cluster infection at Kiang Wu Hospital, there have been no third-generation cases, adding that one patient has already recovered while the other cases aren’t serious.
