A 19-month-old baby girl from the Philippines is one of two new measles patients, the Health Bureau (SSM) said in a statement yesterday.
According to the statement, the baby and her mother came to Macau on April 24 to visit their family. The baby’s mother was diagnosed with measles on May 1.
The statement said that the baby came down with a fever last Friday and a rash began to develop on Monday, when she was admitted to the Emergency Department at the public Conde de São Januário Hospital Centre. She was diagnosed with measles yesterday.
