According to the statement, the bureau carried out a business climate survey from May 6 to 8, when its staff members interviewed 1,562 business outlets comprising restaurants (and other kinds of eateries) and retail outlets. The three-day face-to-face survey covered areas including the peninsula’ northern district, the Avenida de Horta e Costa neighbourhood, the city centre, Ha Van district (the Praia do Manduco neighbourhood near Barra), Zape, as well as Taipa and in shopping centres in casino-hotel resorts in Cotai, the statement said.
The survey’s questionnaire asked business outlets whether “people movement” on their premises and their turnover during the May Day Golden Week had increased compared to normal days.
