Chief Executive Fernando Chui Sai On said yesterday that thanks to the strong support of the central government and the joint effort by parties from Macau and overseas, the International Infrastructure Investment & Construction Forum (IIICF) has already been providing a “pragmatic and efficient” international cooperation platform for a decade, according to a statement by the Macau Government Information Bureau (GCS).
Chui made the remarks in a speech at the opening ceremony of the 10th IIICF at the Venetian in Cotai yesterday.
Backed by the Ministry of Commerce, the IIICF was founded in 2010 and was held in Beijing until 2012 after which it found its new home in Macau. The IIICF is co-organised annually by the China International Contractors Association and the Macau Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM).
